When We Love, We Care
«The devastation of the Natural Vital Space, not only destroys the external environment where we live, it also eliminates, in man itself, all the reverence for the beauty and grandeur of a creation that surpasses him.»
Konrad Lorenz
PORTICUS ŒCOLOGICUS
Renova’s eco-policy, made public in June 1993, reflects our organisation desire to protect the Global Environment.
Through all its activities, Renova is set to try its utmost:
1. PROTECT THE ECOLOGICAL SYSTEM AND USE ENERGY AND ALL NATURAL RESOURCES IN A CAREFUL WAY.
2. PROMOTE NEW TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS AND APPLICATIONS OF MINIMAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT.
3. DEVELOP AN ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AWARENESS IN ALL RENOVA MEMBERS.
4. ESTABLISH A STRONG INTERACTION WITH CITIZENS AND THE COMMUNITY.

1. PROTECT THE ECOLOGICAL SYSTEM AND USE ENERGY AND ALL NATURAL RESOURCES IN A CAREFUL WAY.
The ecological system is a world where all living beings interact.
Human activities, although exercising freedom, must necessarily respect the laws of Nature. Humans are not the lords of the Universe. We can interfere with Nature, but respecting its fundamental laws. We can create and change certain ecological systems but we cannot ignore the consequences.
Therefore, Renova’s objective, more then just complying with the existing environmental legislation, is to expand the awareness of a different set of values from which a new ecological order can arise.
It is also necessary to understand that energy and resources are only available in finite quantities.
Striving to create processes that minimise and reutilize waste is something intimately connected to a rational use of resources.
The sentence of the French philosopher Michel Serres: Good morning Nature, I would like to make a contract with you.”, must reflect the attitude of each Renova member towards the Environment.
2. PROMOTE NEW TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS AND APPLICATIONS OF MINIMAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT.
Nature’s complexity demands more then just respect. It demands observation, reflection and concrete actions.
Any human action over Nature can have impredictible consequences.
Renova’s mission, our mission – For a new well being – also consists in minimising the environmental impact of our activities. That is the objective of our reutilization and recycling programmes.
The choice of the most adequate and modern technologies allows us to implement advanced processes to deal with less disposable materials and thus reduce wastage.
Therefore, as we increase comfort and well being we also promote new technological developments and applications of minimum impact over Nature.
3. DEVELOP AN ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AWARENESS IN ALL RENOVA MEMBERS.
It does not matter how aggressively Renova works to protect the Environment if our policies do not affect the way people act. Actions must follow policies.
The extension of the organisational effort, the awareness of all Renova members to the fact that their actions must be environmentally friendly, is the goal.
A conscious positive commitment towards Nature.
4. ESTABLISH A STRONG INTERACTION WITH CITIZENS AND THE COMMUNITY.
All citizens love to have clean rivers and green spaces where children can play, active and balanced ecological systems…
When our surrounding Environment is protected we feel a true well being. To be able to protect Nature as a whole we must build co-operative relations among people and between people and Nature.
Co-operation between those inside and outside the workplace, between producers and consumers, between different organisations, between citizens.
Renova will do its best to actively contribute to the protection of the Environment, strengthening the interaction with citizens and the community, sharing its beliefs, experiences and results.
For a new well-being.
